We Have a Pope is a 2011 Italian comedy-drama film directed by Nanni Moretti. Its original title is Habemus Papam, the Latin phrase used upon theannouncement of a new pope. The film stars Michel Piccoli as a cardinal who, against his wishes, is elected pope. Moretti co-stars as a psychiatrist who is called in to help the pope overcome his panic.^[1] The film premiered in Italy in April 2011 and played in competition at the 64th Cannes Film Festival.

A story centered on the relationship between the newly elected Pope and his therapist.

The film is known for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic mix of humor and violence, nonlinear storyline, and host of cinematic allusions and pop culture references. The film was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture; Tarantino and Avary won for Best Original Screenplay. It was also awarded the Palme d'Or at the1994 Cannes Film Festival. A major critical and commercial success, it revitalized the career of its leading man, John Travolta, who received anAcademy Award nomination, as did costars Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman.

Directed in a highly stylized manner, Pulp Fiction joins the intersecting storylines of Los Angeles mobsters, fringe players, small-time criminals, and a mysterious briefcase. Considerable screen time is devoted to conversations and monologues that reveal the characters' senses of humor and perspectives on life. The film's title refers to the pulp magazines and hardboiled crime novels popular during the mid-20th century, known for their graphic violence and punchy dialogue. Pulp Fiction is self-referential from its opening moments, beginning with a title card that gives two dictionary definitions of "pulp". The plot, as in many of Tarantino's other works, is presented out of chronological sequence.

The picture's self-reflexivity, unconventional structure, and extensive use of homage and pastiche have led critics to describe it as a prime example ofpostmodern film. Considered by some critics a black comedy,^[3] the film is also frequently labeled a "neo-noir".^[4] Critic Geoffrey O'Brien argues otherwise: "The old-time noir passions, the brooding melancholy and operatic death scenes, would be altogether out of place in the crisp and brightly lit wonderland that Tarantino conjures up. [It is] neither neo-noir nor a parody of noir".^[5] Similarly, Nicholas Christopher calls it "more gangland campthan neo-noir",^[6] and Foster Hirsch suggests that its "trippy fantasy landscape" characterizes it more definitively than any genre label.^[7] Pulp Fictionis viewed as the inspiration for many later movies that adopted various elements of its style. The nature of its development, marketing, and distribution and its consequent profitability had a sweeping effect on the field of independent cinema (although it is not an independent film itself). Considered a cultural watershed, Pulp Fiction's influence has been felt in several other media.

The lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster's wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.

Dragon Age: Origins is a single-player role-playing video game developed by BioWare's Edmonton studio and published by Electronic Arts. It is the first game in the Dragon Age franchise. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 3, 2009, and for Mac OS X on December 21, 2009.

Set in the fictional kingdom of Ferelden during a period of civil strife, the player assumes the role of a warrior, mage or rogue coming from an elven, human, or dwarven background who must unite the kingdom to fight an impending invasion by demonic forces. BioWare describes Dragon Age: Origins as a "dark heroic fantasy set in a unique world", and a spiritual successor to their Baldur's Gate series of games, which took place in theForgotten Realms Campaign Setting of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.^[14]

Upon its release, Dragon Age: Origins was lauded with overwhelmingly positive reviews and considered a critical success. Aggregate review siteMetacritic ranks the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game with scores of 91, 87, and 86, respectively.^[15][16][17] The game also received multiple awards from numerous outlets, ranging from IGN's "PC Game of The Year (2009)"^[18] to the Academy of Interactive Arts & Science's "Role-Playing/Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year 2009".^[19]

An expansion to the game, titled Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, was released in March 2010, and the official sequel, Dragon Age II, was released in March 2011.^[20][21] BioWare intends for Dragon Age: Origins to serve as the foundation for a much broader intellectual property. Even before its release, plans to expand the universe introduced by the game were underway; this included sequels, pen and paper games, books, and comics that would expand the scope of the Dragon Age franchise.^[22] Several of those projects have since been released.

After 400 years since the last Blight, a new Archdemon seeks to destroy the land of Ferelden. It is up to the player - as one remaining legendary Grey Wardens - to unite the divided armies of Ferelden and save humanity.

Welcome to issue Starring Lukas Haas (Inception) in the lead, Crazy Eyes is due out in the US this summer and has had its first trailer debut tonight.

Adam Sherman (Hapiness Runs, producer of Wristcutters: A Love Story) returns behind the camera for his second film, and Apple have debuted the first trailer ahead of its July release in the US.

Though it won’t be topping the box office (going up against The Amazing Spider-Man), it looks promising and will hopefully find its audience.

“With too much money and time on his hands, Zach (Lukas Haas) looks like he’s living the dream. There’s a steady stream of beautiful women and the party never ends. He meets a girl he calls “Crazy Eyes” (Madeline Zima), and she’s unlike anyone he’s ever met before. She’s the one woman Zach can’t have, so naturally he wants her. While Zach’s hard-partying lifestyle threatens to go off the rails, family concerns begin to play a major role in Zach’s life. Will the quest for love and the responsibilities of family life help this poor little rich boy become a man?”

Madeline Zima (Californication, Heroes) co-stars alongside Jake Busey (Good Vibes) and Tania Raymonde (Lost), with Sherman directing from a script he co-wrote with newcomers Dave Reeves and Rachel Hardisty.
